Mountain's Streams

For those who like the freshness of the clear and bright waters, the lands de Entre LOusã e Zêzere, have countless water courses, bigger or smaller, that allow us to have an almost intimate contact with nature in its pure state.

Digging their way on the mountain, the rivulets and streams run through the plateaus and valleys towards the eager river that collects them.

That is what happens at north with Ribeira de São João and River Dueça which end up on River Ceira, with Alva that ends up on River Mondego and, at south, with Ribeira de Pera and Ribeira de Alge and River Unhais which end their course in River Zêzere.

Following the track of these waters means going towards a nature painted with blue tones, always framed in a palette with countless forest green tones...

...finding little dams and reservoirs, built by men, where we can have a refreshing bath...

...delighting ourselves with the trail’s surprises...

...entering into the history of the ancient windmills that we can find on their borders...

...enjoying, here and there, a cascade and the jumping fishes’ brightness!
